Pan Seared Sirloin Steak Dinner for Two just in time for Valentine's Day! This is the perfect meal for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner for two. It is easy to make and budget friendly too!
INGREDIENTS
Mashed Potatoes
- 2 medium sized Yukon Gold potatoes, cubed
- 1/2 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 to 3 cloves of garlic, peeled
- Water to cover potatoes in pan
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream, warmed slightly
- Salt & pepper to taste
Sirloin Steaks
- 2 sirloin steak medallions or filets 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick (about 1 lb total)
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, dvided
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper, divided
- 1 tablespoon Ghee (or canola oil if you prefer)
- 2 to 3 cloves of garlic, peeled
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Sprig of fresh thyme
Steamed Green Beans
- 1/2 lb fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
- 1/8 teaspoon of freshly minced garlic (or more to taste)
- Pinch of kosher salt
Sauteed Mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 ounces sliced white mushrooms
- pinch of kosher salt
